Don't Just Do Something, Stand There!

Exodus 14:13-14 NLT

But Moses told the people, "Don't be afraid. Just stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today...The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm."

2 Chronicles 20:17 NKJV

You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you,

In both of these scriptures, the people of God were surrounded by enemies who were intent on destroying them. but God brought about a mighty deliverance and victory as they simply stood still and trusted in Him!

Certainly there are times when we need to "act", to "do something". But there are other times when God says, "just stand still, trust in Me and watch Me work in your behalf." As I write this, I really believe this is for someone in your specific situation. God loves you and is for you and He will defend, rescue and deliver you. Don't REACT out of fear, worry or panic. JUST STAND STILL!

Rejoicing with you in the victory!  -   Pastor David

The Power to Get Wealth

Deuteronomy 8:18

"And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

This scripture makes it clear that it is God who gives us the "power to get wealth". Why? So that His covenant might be established in the earth.

Some people struggle with the idea that it is God's will that His children prosper and have material wealth. Especially during times like these where our Christian brothers and sisters in the Middle East and other places are suffering great persecution for their faith. It would seem that to focus on your own prosperity and wealth would be a very selfish thing.

I would like to point out some things that will hopefully convince you that actually the opposite is true. First of all, your struggling financially or otherwise will not do anything to alleviate the suffering that others are going through. In fact, if you are suffering lack, it is likely that your thoughts and prayers are going to be focused on your self and not others. If, however, you are prospering, you can focus your prayers, faith and yes, resources, to help others who are suffering.

So, God has given us the "power to get wealth". But HOW do we tap into that power?

One way, of course, is by working, and by developing our natural abilities, through training and education, and turning those into marketable skills.

Proverbs 12:11

He who tills his land will be satisfied with bread,

But there is a SUPERNATURAL part, a FAITH part to the "power to get wealth" that many of us either have never known about, or have neglected to implement in our lives.

Proverbs 12:14

A man will be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth,

You will be satisfied with good by the FRUIT of your MOUTH. By your WORDS.

Proverbs 18:21

Death and life are in the power of the tongue,

The POWER to get wealth is in your TONGUE! What are you saying about your finances? Are you making declarations about your finances on a consistent basis? Are you confessing LACK or ABUNDANCE?

Jesus said, in Mark 11:23, that a person, anyone, whosoever, will HAVE whatever they SAY.

Learn to use your WORDS to bring provision and wealth into your life.
